Tourism must change on a more open way for the locals and the visitors.
We try to be involved socially, in health issues and cultural events
to keep and develop a better life in gili meno and other gilis.
Social, cultural and artistic projects
Music
Lombok is a place of a special king of music and traditional dance
which are practice only for ceremonies.
Craft
Decorative art is not very developed in Lombok.
You will discover a craft of usual objects like traditional textiles,
basket and potery made of natural material and old techniques.
Customs
Lombok is the place of an indigenous religion unic of Indonesia,
it is a mix of Hinduism, islam and animism.
The “Wektu Telu” is based on the Trinity principle:
the sun, the moon and the stars representing Heaven, earth and Water.
The Adat ( traditional law and belief ) still continue nowadays to impose
the respect between all the different religions.

Health projects:
TO BUILD A CLINIC (hospital) FOR
GILI MENO PEOPLE
The clinic has been finished in december 2004
 Construction : Gili meno people wanted a building would last for a few generations.
An architect had been called to organise the work.
The clinic is 96 m² :
1 waiting room,
2 rooms for medical traitement,
1 room for medicine supply,
toilets and shower,
and one flat for a nurse fully equipped.
Paramedical staff : one nurse living inside the clinic and a doctor who comes once a week
Future projects:
A learning centre
To develop a children and adult learning centre helping
exchanges between visitors and local community. English language lessons…
School trips
Art week, cultural festival : “gili meno cultural & fun festival“
half in the village on the beach and at Tao Kombo,
workshop, exhibition, music and dance, art market
Children's Arts Centre
To promote learning through arts, music/dance performances,
To
learn songs in other languages ( English, French, interaction with tourist ),
to
provide visual art materials, tapes and books.
Life guard project
To
form young local people, kind of beach culture at chogong place,
platform Tao Kombo’ at the wall, project biorock already. found possible in Australia via life guard bali!
Sport events
“gili meno cup”, mini triathlon …
create and sponsor gili meno football association
